Learn eight self-care tips for CKD patients, to support mental and physical health.
As a kidney disease patient, self-care is an essential practice for your mental and physical health. This practice can be effective but looks different for each person. Whether it’s hanging out in the backyard, participating in a game night, or going bowling, spending time with loved ones is a great way to feel connected and enjoy yourself. Schedule some quality social time, even if it’s just relaxing at home.
Taking your medications as prescribed is crucial to staying as healthy as possible, and managing medical conditions. If you struggle to stick to the schedule, you could:
If drug cost is an issue, speak with your healthcare provider about financial resources and use a free prescription discount card to make medications more affordable.
